A Cry for Our Families

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)
There was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of the hill country of Ephraim, named Elkanah son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephraimite. – FAMILY LINEAGE
He had two wives, one named Hannah and the other named Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. – FAMILY LIFE
This man went from his city year by year to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were the Lord’s priests.
When the day came that Elkanah sacrificed, he would give to Peninnah his wife and all her sons and daughters portions [of the sacrificial meat].
But to Hannah he gave a double portion, for he loved Hannah, but the Lord had given her no children. – RELIGIOUS LIFE OF THE FAMILY
[This embarrassed and grieved Hannah] and her rival provoked her greatly to vex her, because the Lord had left her childless.
So it was year after year; whenever Hannah went up to the Lord’s house, Peninnah provoked her, so she wept and did not eat.
Then Elkanah her husband said to her, Hannah, why do you cry? And why do you not eat? And why are you grieving? Am I not more to you than ten sons? - FAMILY ISSUES AND CONTENTIONS.
So Hannah rose after they had eaten and drunk in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his seat beside a post of the temple (tent) of the Lord.
10 And [Hannah] was in distress of soul, praying to the Lord and weeping bitterly.
11 She vowed, saying, O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your handmaid and [earnestly] remember, and not forget Your handmaid but will give me a son, I will give him to the Lord all his life; no razor shall touch his head. - PRAYER BURDEN FOR OUR LIVES AND FAMILIES
11 And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if Thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of Thine handmaid, and remember me and not forget Thine handmaid, but wilt give unto Thine handmaid a man-child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.” (NKJV)
GLEANINGS FROM THIS PASSAGE
  • God recognised the family of Elkanah and had full knowledge of the lineage of that family. God also knows our family and the lineage of our homes.
  • God knew the family life and condition of Hannah’s home. Our Heavenly Father is not ignorant of the state of our families. Whether good or bad, He has cognisance of the matter.
  • God was not quiet about the spiritual/religious condition of Hannah’s family. He knew the religious façade of the home. Elkanah been an Ephraimite was a polygamist. Penninah who went yearly to Shiloh and offered sacrifices was tagged as an adversary with a provocative character. God knows the same about our families too.
  • Even amid these things, God separated Hannah unto Himself. For our family to be deeply affected God must achieve something tangible in us that can be multiplied.
  • Hannah experienced great generosity from Elkanah but that was not enough, she wanted a child.
  • Hannah was discontented with the gifts and generous portions given to her by Elkanah. She deeply desired and wept sore for not just any child but for a man-child. God has been immensely generous to us by giving us the mystery of the gospel in different dimensions but it is not enough to have this generous portions, we want this reality to be conceived not just in our spiritual womb but to be a visible reality that will come forth to affect our families and beyond.

 PRAYER FOCUS
  • Father, thank You for our family. Thank You for being aware of all that has happened and is happening in our family.
  • Thank You, despite all these happenings. You brought us to a saving knowledge of full salvation in Christ Jesus. You exposed us to the mystery of the gospel not just to make us free and victorious but to be an open door to our family for this gospel to be birth.
  • Father, we thank You for dealing with us as You did to Hannah. God was dealing and decluttering her to bring forth that which will affect her family and the nation of Israel.
  • Father, we bring our families to You as we travail over them. Please bring forth an experience that will change their hearts.

MY FAITH HAS FOUND A RESTING PLACE

1.My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device or creed;
I trust the ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

Refrain:

I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

2. Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I came to Him,
He’ll never cast me out.

3. My heart is leaning on the Word,
The living Word of God,
Salvation by my Saviour’s name,
Salvation through His blood.

4. My great physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.

Youth

Join this HeartCry Prayers - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (Uk time)

DEFINITION OF YOUTH:
The time of life when one is young, but often means the time between childhood and adulthood (maturity). In Europe, it is between age 16-30.

The Time of Youth is:
  • A time of laying foundations for every aspect of future life.
  • A crucial time that determines what happens for the rest of your life.
  • A time of dependency / age of choices.
  • Age of consent – to sexual acts.
  • Age of voting
  • Age of questioning everything.
  • Age of claiming wiser than parents and even God.
  • Age of self-focus
  • Age of majority – competitive time to proving something.
  • Age of the right to drive – age at which a person can apply for a driver’s license.
  • Age of drinking – alcoholic beverage can be consumed or purchased.
  • Age of candidacy – legal qualification to hold certain elected government offices.
  • Age of criminal responsibility.
  • Age of permanent formation within.
  • Age whereby everything that a person will become in future and his destiny is rooted.
  • Age when God’s eyes are is focused on a person to affect and prepare him or her for a glorious future.
  • A targeted time for the devil to destroy a person’s future through a wrong foundation.

Any youth that makes the Lord his or her choice will always overcome
 in every sphere of life.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,
Before the difficult days come,
And the years draw near when you say,
‘I have no pleasure in them.’” (Ecclesiastes 12:1 NKJV)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11 For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.
12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,
And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”  (Proverbs 9:10-12 NKJV)

A good foundation for life consists of the FEAR of God and the KNOWLEDGE of God.When these are not in place, their future will suffer much. Even if at last they find their way back, valuable time would have been wasted.

I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the
word of God abides in you,
and you have overcome the
wicked one. (1 John 2: 14b NKJV)

Only the youth that allows the word of God to be the lamp to their feet and light to their path will overcome the wicked one that has targeted their youthful age to destroy it.

Prayer Points
  • Let us thank God who has given us the 'womb of travail' for our youth and children in general.
  • Let us ask God to give them a heart of flesh that is teachable.
  • Let us pray that their heart will accommodate the fear and the knowledge of God in Jesus’ name.
  • Pray that the contention of devil over our youth will fail, in Jesus’ name.
  • The intention of devil is to destroy their lives with alcohol, sex, abortion, drugs, discouragement and suicide. Pray that these weapons will not work over our youth any more.
  • Let us pray that our youth will no longer make experiments with their lives, saying, “If I do this, what will happen? If I want to have sex, I can protect myself now; I can try smoking like my mates; after all, I am no longer a baby. Why can’t I wear what I like? After all, I have a good figure with long legs...” etc.
  • Pray that the hearts of our youth will be shifted to God; that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened to make the right choice, not the way of the world, in Jesus’ name.
  • Ask God to give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him that makes right choices in life.

Children, Teenagers and Young People
- Rods in their Youth

Join this HeartCry Prayers - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (Uk time)

Listen (MP3) and pray along

All the revivals of the Old and New Testaments and of centuries past have been traced. See the link: http://nationsheartcry.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/europe-give-me-this-mountain-rods.html

It shows categorically that children and youth are the vital forwards in the army that usher in revival in any generation. The question is: what about the 21st century? Can revival happen in our time through our youths? The conclusion is'Yes!'

Psalm 110:1-7 (KJV)

"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemiesThy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen; he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore, shall he lift up the head."

The Lord has been showing us the missing dimension(s) in the life of our young people. He has detained us there and not allowed us to move to any other nation of people.
  • Firstly, He used the life of Stephen to show us that there is the missing dimension of the baptism of the Holy Ghost that turns a man into an agent of transformation in our young people. He said they are filled with all sorts hence there is no space for the Holy Ghost and we prayed for the Lord to empty them and baptise them.
  • Secondly, He showed us the missing dimension of discipleship that took Timothy’s genuine faith which was imparted by parental discipleship to another level of ministry under the hand of Paul.
    • We prayed for the Lord to let the faith that our children collect from us be genuine; that they would not despise their youth; and that they would be an example of the believer. Our prayer is that the Lord will make us the 'Pauls' (and send us the 'Pauls') under whose hand our 'Timothys' will blossom and become fellow brothers or labourers.
  • Thirdly, He showed us the importance of being the correct audio/visual aids for our young people, like Mordecai was to Esther.
    • We prayed, "Lord overwrite every idea of child upbringing that is from the old man and the world system and let the New Man in me begin to give detailed instructions on how He wants to handle His own children." For it is God who is the parent now.
    • We prayed, "Do not let me postpone or delay the out workings of the mystery of the gospel in my life anymore, so that I will not portray anything of the old man unto the young people around me."
    • Eli missed it with his sons by not correcting them. He should have disrobed them and taken the office from them, but instead he was fattening himself up on the proceeds of their sins.
    • Solomon was one of the products of David's dead works which were not decluttered quickly. The Lord forgave David and even called Solomon His beloved. The dead works of David, His father, were amplified to the 'nth degree' in Solomon.
    • Samuel could not escape this. His sons took bribe and the sins of the clergy made an entire nation to reject the rule of God when they demanded a king.
  • Fourthly, we prayed for our young people who have gone AWOL and begged the Lord to show us mercy.

Why the Recap?

It has suddenly dawned on us that the Lord is very deliberately repeating the same matter over and over again on several platforms. He has said in the beginning of this year that He will send His rods out of Zion to rule in the midst of Europe.

God wants to reach out with the gospel to the young people, why? To bring them to Calvary, to evacuate them of the old sinful life and fill them with His divine life, to disciple them and to pour the Holy Spirit upon them. Why?

They are the vital front soldiers in any move of God in Europe and in all the nations of the world.

1. They must discover the Word of God for their personal lives.

John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus Christ discovered what was written concerning them in the Word.

Luke 3:1-2
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

John 1:19-23 (Isaiah 40:3)
And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Hebrews 10:5-7 (Psalm 40:6)
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Luke 4:16-22 (Isaiah 61:1-2)
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

  • The Word of the Lord must come to our youth before they can become the frontline foot soldiers in this outpouring we are trusting God for.
  • It must be a personal, specific, individual revelation of the complete Mystery of the Gospel, and all it has come to accomplish in their lives.
  • It must be a personal, specific individual revelation of what their purpose is in God’s agenda for their generation.
  • Yes, they will be guided by the human hands that God places them under, but it must first of all come to them personally.
  • They must first of all discover it from Scriptures themselves. It may be through their individual quite time, family altar, church services, youth meetings, online meetings or discipleship meetings.
  • Suddenly one day, as the Word of God comes to them through all these different avenues, their hearts, eyes and ears will be open to catch a revelation of the truth of God’s Word for their own personal lives and begin to run with it.
  • God has no another tool with which to engage His young people, except His Word.
  • Our job as 'Pauls', as handlers for them, is to give them the undiluted Word, not graded down because they are children.

2. There is hammer of the right size for each young person.

Jeremiah 23:29
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Prayer Points

  • Lord, send the hammer of the correct size to break open the hearts of Your young people.
  • Send Your word to shatter and scatter everything in the hearts of Your young people that has made them at ease with the state of their lives, the state of their faith and the state of their walk with You.
  • Send Your word to dismantle every structure that the world and its systems have already begun to build in their impressionable hearts, in the name of Jesus.
  • Send the gospel in its entirety, its fullness and its completeness to Your young people and save them.
  • Bring all our 'churched' children to Calvary, we beg You. Please Lord, use any avenue to bring the mystery of the gospel to them, O Lord, we pray. SAVE OUR 'CHURCHED' CHILDREN.
  • God will you please bypass parents, pastors, youth workers, children's teachers and structures within the church that are hindering you from reaching these young people. Break down the barriers and send Your Word to them as You did to Samuel.
  • Create an insatiable hunger and thirst for You, Your Word and the gospel in their young hearts, in the name of Jesus.

3. Their hearts must be opened.

Luke 24:45
Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. (KJV)
Then He [thoroughly] opened up their minds to understand the Scriptures. (AMPC)

Acts 16:14
One of those who listened to us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a dealer in fabrics dyed in purple. She was [already] a worshiper of God, and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. (AMPC)

One woman, Lydia, was from Thyatira and a dealer in expensive textiles, known to be a God-fearing woman. As she listened with intensity to what was being said, the Master gave her a trusting heart—and she believed! (MSG)

Prayer Points
  • Lord, crack open the heart of our young people to receive Your word, for those whose hearts are solid.
  • Lord, some of them still have tender hearts. Please gently open it to receive Your Word.
  • Lord, let them pay close attention to the truth that is being poured into their lives on different platforms and by different people.
  • O Lord, grant them understanding of the Scriptures, O Lord, we beg you, open their minds. Every other thing should give way to the Word of God in their minds, in the name of Jesus.
  • Give them a heart that trusts and believes the Word of God verbatim.
  • Let the faith of the little children which Jesus commended by directed towards your word. Let them believe your word with their child like faith that believes everything and anything.

4. Their hearts must tremble.

Isaiah 66:2
My hand has made both earth and skies, and they are mine. Yet I will look with pity on the man who has a humble and a contrite heart, who trembles at my word. (TLB)

Prayer Points

  • Lord, let the hearts of Your youth begin to tremble at Your Word; let them begin to have respect, fear, reverence for Your word as to quickly obey it.
  • Lord, when their errors (sins) are pointed out, please grant them grace to repent, to broken before you like David, not to maintain a proud, stubborn heart like Saul.
  • For our children who have gone AWOL:  Bring to their remembrance any residue of the Word of God that they previously heard, previously memorised and previously engaged with. Let their hearts begin to tremble, fear and break down in genuine repentance upon remembrance of Your Word.
  • Holy Ghost, You use the Word of God to convict men of sin and judgement. Please use any residual word in the hearts of our prodigals to bring them to repentance in the name of Jesus.
  • For those still under the ministry of Your Word, please use Your word to break their stubbornness and pride; let them begin to tremble in repentance, in the name of Jesus.
  • Let them begin to know that You are Your word and if they disobey Your word, they are disobeying You.

5. What is my role?

John 17:19
And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

DECLUTTER EVERY SINFUL HABIT IN THIS PERIOD OF GRACE

Deuteronomy 11: 18-20
Remember my words in your hearts and souls. Write them down and tie them to your hands as a sign. Tie them on your foreheads to remind you. Teach them well to your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road. Talk about them when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on your doors and gates.

TEACH THE MYSTERY OF THE GOSPEL WITH INTENSITY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY, BY WORDS AND BY LIFE.

Galatians 2:20
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

I MUST NOT FRUSTRATE THIS GREAT GRACE AVAILABLE TO ME.

Prayer Points

  • Lord, help me to maximise this period of grace to ensure the complete obliteration of any dead works still hanging about in my life and to bury them out of sight.
  • One of the reasons for my decluttering is that  - where my 'Sarah' is buried is where my 'David' will be crowned as king. Lord, for the sake of these young ones, O Lord,I beg You give me courage in the Holy Ghost to put dead works out of sight.
  • Grant me understanding of these truths that you are revealing to me; help me to maintain my stand with daily 'Morning by Morning' with You, with regular 'Alone with God' with You, where you can open my ears as You did for Jesus. (Isaiah 50:4, Mark 1:35)
  • Do not let me stultify, deaden, nullify, reject, ignore, turn back, set aside or misapply this great grace that is being revealed to me.
  • Holy Spirit, please make me an able teacher of Your word; help me to create space deliberately in my household to teach the children every time, everywhere at every opportunity, the mystery of the gospel.
  • Let the gospel work fully in my life so that I can teach not only by words but by my life.
