  THE BACKSLIDERS – Hebrews 10:35-39 / 6:1-6

            To Backslide is to:

•        Go back to doing something bad when you have been doing good.

•        Fail to do something that one has agreed to do.

•        Stop working hard.

•        Start doing something bad again after one has stopped it.

•        “Fall away” – to turn from God to pursue own desires. (Proverbs 14:14a)

         SOME MAJOR CAUSES OF BACKSLIDING FOR “CHRISTIANS”

•        Carelessness. (Ephesians 5:17 -MSG)

•        Deception. (Galatians 6:6-8)

•        Love of the world/ (1^st John 2:15-17)

•        Pride. (James 4:6-7)

•        Rebellion. (Romans 13:1-5)

•        Lack of good fellowship (2^nd Corinthians/ 6:14-18)

•        Failure of The Church in this generation. (2^nd Timothy 2:19)

PRAYER:

•        Lord we plead and ask for a longing that will reconnect backsliders to YOU.

•        Create a sense of loss and an end to self in them oh Lord!

•        Please connect them to the ONLY LIFE and THE TRUE LIGHT – JESUS! (John 1:4-5)

•        Rid them of all traditions of men that have established sins in their lives.

•        Grant them hearts to forgive their offenders within the Body of Christ.

•        Let all that are lost in the far country of hell come back to their MASTER.

•        Lord help them to yield to Heaven's pleadings upon their lives.

 THE WEAK-IN-FAITH -  2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 / Matthew 24:12-13

PRAYER:

•        Lord please renew their confidence, strength and faith in YOU. (Psalm 73:26)

•        Let them be continually persuaded in Your Faithfulness and Greatness. (2^nd Timothy 1:12)

•        Lord please let them experience THE POWER of THE GOSPEL afresh.

       WHAT ALL OF US MUST DO – (Luke 15:8-9 – The Parable of The Lost Coin)

•        Light a candle continuously from THE TRUE LIGHT OF GOD.

•        Lord please have mercy on me in anyway that I have frustrated Your purpose in my life.

ARISE! CHURCH IN EUROPE – Isaiah 60

Jeremiah 17:12(KJV) - “A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our

sanctuary.”

Prayer:

• Lord have mercy on Europe (United Kingdom especially) for accepting all sorts to pollute Your inheritance.
• Lord have mercy and forgive every area where Your Light and Your Name have been withdrawn.
• Lord let The Body of Christ (The Church) in Europe arise from all forms of “spiritual depression.” (established state of powerlessness, pollution, darkness, disorderliness, etc.)

1. The manner of “The Shinning” - through The True and Complete Gospel.

• Mark 16:15(KJV) “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.”

Prayer:

• Lord let The Life of Jesus shine through The Church in Europe – cause The Glory of Your Presence to return and be recognised.
• Lord cleanse The Altar, and consecrate it for the purpose of the True Gospel: make all hearts to begin to tremble at Your Word.
• Let all pastors, teachers, evangelists, apostles and prophets in Europe begin to take their spiritual offices more serious than ever before.

2. The “channels of The Shinning” - those called, separated and filled to be channels indeed!

• Ephesians 4:11-13(KJV) - “And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors, and some teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:”

Prayer:

• Lord please make The Church in Europe an object of Your Mercy: to be channels to raise souls with uncompromised faith and consistent trust in You.
• Make The Church the mediums of true praises to You: to be gatherings where Your Everlasting Light will shine in hearts, homes, schools, workplaces, market places, etc
• Lord we ask for a mysterious activation of the seeds of Righteousness in all the nations of Europe.

3. The “barriers to The Shinning” - false teachers, false teachings, satanic laws and regulations.

• 2 Corinthians 10:3-4(KJV)  -”For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;).” 

Prayer:

• Lord please visit all the strange/foreign gods that are manipulating Europe.
• Let The Cross of Jesus collide with all the foreign gods that have established their strange altars in Europe through Equality and Diversity.
• Deal with every oppressor of The Church in all nations of Europe (Isaiah 60:14)

4. “The Shinning of The Church” - unlimited and undiluted expression of the power of God to defend HIS GOSPEL.

• Isaiah 60:1 (KJV) - “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

Prayer:

• Lord please make room for the bearers of the Light of the True Gospel in all nations of Europe.
• Let there be mystery multiplication of Your Truth in the Body of Christ: let the testimony of The Cross come back to The Church.
• Lord please cause a divine replacement to anything of the world system in The Church.
• Lord make every immigrant pastors/church leaders in all the nations of Europe to begin to build The Church according to “Divine Pattern”.
• LORD RAISE YOUR DIVINE STANDARD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE CHURCH!

The Cross And The Church

^“ For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

• The power and glory of God that ought to be the hallmark of the church’s operation on earth is only truly experienced when men and women called by His name have come to the place of death, to the Cross of Calvary. 

• For men to be released from the tyranny of sin and its guilt, men must have seen the cross of Calvary. How is this possible if the message of Christ and Him crucified is not preached? 

• The early church did not give in to the Jews who required signs nor to the Greeks who demanded wisdom. 1 Cor 1:22-24. Their message was one – “But we preach Christ crucified”.  They saw great and effectual results from the simple, unsophisticated and uncomplicated preaching of the cross. It is the power of God….. 1 Corinthians 1:18 

• The devil, knowing the power of the cross, has worked extra time to keep its message from being preached in the church our day. He has used and is still using several strategies to accomplish this. He blindfolds men from seeing or acknowledging the cross, he seeks to ridicule the cross, he undermines the cross and its power and he works hard to becloud it. 

Job 5:12-14  (NKJV) 

“He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans. He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them. They meet with darkness in the daytime, And grope at noontime as in the night”. 

Prayer:

• The devil’s blindfold ~ 2 Cor 4:3-4. Today, we come in the authority of the name of Jesus and command every blindfold of the devil in the church to be removed. 

• We pray against everything that the devil has been using to take the eyes of the church off the cross and its message. We nullify every distraction in the form of activities, endless ceremonies and typologies. 

• We come against every effort of man that is taking the place of the cross in the life of the church. 

• Lord, frustrate everything the devil has done to render impotent, undermine and make void of effect of the cross in the church today. 

• Isaiah 5:13-14- ignorance is part of the devil’s strategy to cover up the fact of His defeat by the cross of Calvary. Today, in the name of Jesus Christ, we declare that blind eyes in the church begin to see the cross again as the light of the glorious gospel of Christ shines on men. (2 Cor 4:4) 

• Col 2:18-20- What depths of deception and bondage the devil has brought into the church because men are not being pointed to the Man of Calvary! Lord, by the anointing of Your Holy Spirit, cause Your church to be brought out of her bondage and deception into the glorious deliverance secured by the cross of Christ. 

• Lord, re-crop Your church with men and women, young and old, who are not apologetic about the message of the cross. Take away the dread of preaching the message of the cross from the faces of pastors, teachers and evangelists. 

• Lord, let a fresh revelation of the meaning, the mystery and the ministry of the cross of Christ come back to Your church.

• Lord, let the church be rid of everything that beclouds the cross and makes it obscure. Let the message of the cross of Christ become the one proclamation of the church worldwide in our day. 

• The message of the cross has largely been lost on the younger generation of our times. Lord, raise a generation of youth who become soldiers of the cross of Christ, willing to bear it’s shame no matter what. 

•  The message of the Cross of Calvary will not be forgotten in our generation in the name of Jesus. 

 King Of My Life

Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow,

The Church - Ephesians 4

Ephesians 4:1-3

'Unless we individually walk worthy of our calling into the light with all lowliness of mind, meekness and gentleness, we shall continue to injure the body of Christ and bring her into disunity."

Prayer

• Lord, help me to focus on my ‘walk’ rather than my ‘work’ so that I am not one who inflicts the injury of disunity on Your Body. Make me one who builds Your body and not tear it down. 

• Lord, I plead with You today, help me to understand more clearly, more fully and more deeply the calling to which I am called in Christ Jesus so that I can walk worthy of it. 

• Lord, show me specifically what I must do to walk worthy of the calling with which I am called.  

Ephesians 4:4-6

"One body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord…." 

Prayer

• Lord, restore Your church to her charter of unity. As You did in Matthew 21, Lord, rid the church of every system, structure and set up that works against her charter of unity. Lord, bring a fresh revelation of Ephesians 4:4-6 to the church. 

• Jesus Christ is the church’s one foundation. Lord, cause Your church to bring her focus back to Christ and Him alone, to Christ and Him crucified. Let the church be built up once again on her one foundation – Jesus Christ. 

Ephesians 4:7-13  

Prayer

• Lord, re-visit the church with Your gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Let their function work for the equipping of the saints for ministry and for the edification of Your body. 

• Holy Spirit, weed out self-appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers from the church. Re-crop Your church with shepherds after Your own heart, Lord. 

• Holy Spirit, activate these gifts to the church to function effectively until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man and the full stature of the fullness of Christ. 

Ephesians 4:15-16 

Prayer

• Holy Spirit, cause there to be a growing up of the church into Christ alone, not doctrine, not sacraments or activities or memberships. Let Your glory be seen in the church again in our days. 

• Lord, let love blossom in the church. Holy Spirit, shed abroad in our hearts the fire of Your love. Let the world know that we are Christ’s disciples because of the love that is evidently demonstrated among us. 

In order for us to walk worthy of our calling to the new creation life, each one of us must come to the place of death- the place of the daily bearing of the cross. This is the only way to keep the self-life from contaminating the flow of the Holy Spirit through us as His vessels in the coming revival.

Luke 14:26-33- The Lord is doing two important things. He is building His church (Matt 16:18) and raising an army. For both projects, the Lord needs disciples men and women who have forsaken all to follow Him, those who have been completely emptied of the self-life and are completely filled with the Christ-life. 

The Lord is re-cropping His church with His disciples. If I can’t hate my life and forsake all, I CANNOT be His disciple which means I cannot be part of His true church. 

Prayer

• Lord, help me to keep denying myself, taking up my cross daily and following You. 

• Help me to count everything a loss to gain You, Lord. Help to count the cost NOW! 

• Open my eyes to see that my life is worth nothing unless I am serving Your kingdom’s purpose on earth. 

• Lord, have mercy on me today and help by Your Eternal Spirit to lay my all on Your altar for You. 

• Lord, I am resolved to follow You and be all that You have purposed me to be for You. 

My body is Your sanctuary

Re-Cropping of the Church

Matthew 21:12-17 (NKJV) 

12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’”14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?” 17 Then He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and He lodged there. 

  Definition of ‘crop’ –  

1.    Yield from plants in a single growing season. 

2.    Cultivate, tend, dress, trim, prune, cut back. 

3.    A collection of people/things appearing together. 

4.    The output of something in a season. 

5.    Reduction in size by removing undesirable or unnecessary elements. 

6.    Cut into desired shape. 

  

·        The Lord is going to re-crop His Church in our day. He is seeking a different kind of yield from the Church now, different to what the church has been yielding. 

·        The Lord is going to work on cultivating and pruning the Church for the re-cropping that He desires. This will involve cutting back and trimming of all her excesses until the church is in the shape that the Lord desires. 

·        There shall be the removal of undesirable and unnecessary elements from within the church. (Matt 21:12) 

·        The church will be re-cropped with companies of disciples who are making disciples, those who will not break the chain of discipleship, who will not deviate from the pattern shown. Our Lord is raising up a collection, a company, a crop of people- His disciples, His followers, those who have bound themselves to the altar of sacrifice, those who have lost their lives, the ‘little ones, the ‘small ones’. This collection of disciples will appear together, move together as one, have one focus. 

·       It is these ones who will fulfil Isaiah 58:12- they will be builders and restorers and they will raise others after them to do the same. 

Isaiah 58:12 Good News Translation (GNT) 

12 Your people will rebuild what has long been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. You will be known as the people who rebuilt the walls, who restored the ruined houses.” 

·         The church will be built up again on old foundations- the preaching of the complete gospel of Christ, the making and multiplication of disciples and preparation of the church for the rapture. 

·         New generations of preachers will be raised, who will carry the life-light and will live according to what they preach.

 THIS IS THE RE-CROPPING OF THE CHURCH!!! 

This is why the Lord has been concentrating His attention on us and others around the world, bearing His heart so intentionally to us and instructing us through the platform of discipleship. We are those ones who the Lord wants to use to re-crop His church! The Lord is depending on His disciples for this! 

·       Holy Spirit, we need Your help in praying for the Church today. You know the mind of the Father concerning the Church. Please express Yourself in us and raise an intercession in us for the Church. 

·       Lord, don’t let Your promises be wasted on me. Don’t let Your precious promises of mystery multiplication become a mere slogan or a mirage! Lord, help me!!! Have mercy on me! 

·       Lord, please confront me now with anything in my life that may not allow Your promises to come true. 

·         Isaiah 42:1- Lord, let me be one You can uphold and use as You are preparing to re-crop Your church. Make me one in whom You delight- one in whom Christ lives His life freely, one that You will look upon in mercy (Isaiah 66:2). 

·       Lord, multiply those seedlings of discipleship among us. Let disciples be multiplied to re-crop Your church. Raise a strong chain of discipleship in Your church that cannot be broken and let it replace every evil that has multiplied in the past. 

·      Lord, re-crop the church with companies of disciples and disciple-makers all over the world. 

·        “Your people will rebuild what has long been in ruins,…” Isaiah 58:12a. Lord, let there be a re-building of the church with the doctrine of repentance, the preaching of the cross and the death of the old nature, and the mystery of ‘Christ in you, the hope of glory’. 

Isaiah 60:22- “A little one shall become a thousand, and small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in it’s time”.

Isaiah 66:8- “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such a thing?....For as soon as Zion was in labour, she gave birth to her children.”

“Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Has anyone seen anything like this? 

A country born in a day?  A nation born in a flash? But Zion was barely in labor 

when she had her babies! Do I open the womb and not deliver the baby? Do I, the One who delivers babies, shut the womb?

8 Who has ever seen anything as strange as this? 

    Who ever heard of such a thing? 

Has a nation ever been born in a single day? 

    Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment?

    and then not deliver it?” asks the Lord. 

“No! I would never keep this nation from being born,” 

    says your God. 

·     Lord, there is a nation of disciples and disciple-makers in my spiritual womb that has to be born NOW! Lord, let the mystery of discipleship kick in  NOW! Not by might nor power, but by Your Spirit, let this nation be born of me! Lord, You have promised that You will never keep this nation from being born, You are ready to take delivery of this nation. 

Isaiah 66:10- Lord, make Your church a wonder in our day. Let those who mourned for her rejoice at Your work in her. Hasten this now, Lord, for it is time. 

For I'm building a people of power 

And I'm making a people of praise 

That will move through this land by My Spirit 

And will glorify My precious name 

Build Your church, Lord 

Make us strong, Lord 

Join our hearts, Lord, through Your Son 

Make us one, Lord, In Your Body 

In the kingdom of Your Son
