Those in Position of Authority

Join This HeartCry Platform - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

1 Timothy 2:1-7 New King James Version (NKJV)

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ[a] and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-7 Living Bible (TLB)

1Here are my directions: Pray much for others; plead for God’s mercy upon them; give thanks for all he is going to do for them.Pray in this way for kings and all others who are in authority over us, or are in places of high responsibility, so that we can live in peace and quietness, spending our time in godly living and thinking much about the Lord.[a] This is good and pleases God our Savior, for he longs for all to be saved and to understand this truth: That God is on one side and all the people on the other side, and Christ Jesus, himself man, is between them to bring them together, by giving his life for all mankind. This is the message that at the proper time God gave to the world. And I have been chosen—this is the absolute truth—as God’s minister and missionary to teach this truth to the Gentiles and to show them God’s plan of salvation through faith.

1 Timothy 2:1-7 The Message (MSG)

2 1-3 The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. 4-7 He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know the truth we’ve learned: that there’s one God and only one, and one Priest-Mediator between God and us—Jesus, who offered himself in exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them all free. Eventually the news is going to get out. This and this only has been my appointed work: getting this news to those who have never heard of God, and explaining how it works by simple faith and plain truth.

People in positions of authority and/or high responsibility-
  •           Heads of states, presidents and prime ministers
  •          Cabinets members, MPs, Councillors, Senators
  •          Heads of government and non-government organisations
  •          Police forces, armed forces
  •          Principals, head teachers and teachers
  •         Journalists………………

Matthew 9:36-28

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[b] and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

  • As You have instructed, Lord, we give thanks for those in positions of authority and high responsibility. We thank You because You love them and have paid the price for their salvation. We thank You, Father, because there is still hope of a mighty harvest of souls among this nation of people.
  •  Father, we thank You for Your gracious heart towards all men because of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. We thank You, Lord, because the state of the incapacitation of these ones is ever before You and You long for them to hear the gospel and be saved. We thank You because it is good and it pleases You that prayers, supplications and intercessions be made for these ones today.
  • Lord, we thank You because You see a plenteous harvest among these people. You see disciples, You see Your Peters, Your Pauls, Your Lydias and Your Marys among them.
  • Lord, we pray for all these people in positions of high responsibility. We ask for open doors for them to hear the gospel of Christ, the complete gospel, THIS GOSPEL. We ask for a move of Your Holy Spirit among these ones to bring repentance and salvation in their midst.
  • Lord, we pray that Your grace which brings salvation will appear to these ones (Titus 2:11) and turn many of them from darkness to light and from Satan to the Living God.

  • We pray for peculiar conversions among these ones, like that of Paul. Appear to many of them in an undeniable manner that will transform their lives and propel them to preach THIS GOSPEL.
  • Today, we make intercessions for these ones and we stand in the gap for them, asking for mercy on their souls. Many of them have been vessels in the hands of Satan against the cause of righteousness and justice but we seek mercy by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Our Children

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai. 3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. 6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads. And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! 8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies! 9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name? 10 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?
The costly effect of the grip of the lust of the eyes on one person (Joshua 7:1)
  • Lord thank You for sustaining and preserving the lives of my children.
  • Let Your power collide with anything that is contrary to Your proclamation upon them.
  • Deliver my children from every strange act that has brought darkness into their lives.
  • Lord please defend Your Name in every aspects of their lives.

Privilege to be searched out by the mercies of God (Lamentations 3:21-23)
  • Lord please be merciful unto my children. Let Your love, grace and mercy find them.
  • Rip off every garment that is covering their hearts.
  • Deliver them from anything representing “the accursed” in their lives.
  • Soften and sharpen their hearts with the light of Your True Gospel.

Higher level of revelation that will bring about repentance (Romans 2:4)
  • Lord please come to my children, strengthen their hearts to please You.
  • Prevail over every conflict in their spirit, soul and body.
  • Please crown whatever state they are in now with a divine expression.
  • Lord please restore them to everything that The Cross of Jesus achieved for them.
Raising an altar of God's standard (Isaiah 35:8)
  • Lord by faith, I raise an altar of The Cross of Jesus in the lives of my children.
  • Command them to walk in Your truth until it is established in every area of their lives.
  • Purge out everything representing the natural in them, and raise the standard of the divine.
  • Lord please restore unto them the joy of their position in You.
  • Enlarge their hearts and grant them capacity to obey You.
  • LORD PLEASE STRENGTHEN OUR WEAK HANDS, OUR WEAK HEARTS AND OUR FEEBLE KNEES IN ALL OUR DEALINGS WITH OUR CHILDREN.

Women Arising in Zion

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

Women like Hannah…….   1 Samuel 1 & 2
  • Who arise when others, even husbands and leaders, are still sitting; possibly defying protocol and decorum.
  • Who snap out of vicious religious cycles, practices and routines which produce nothing.
  • Whose commitment to God and His kingdom’s cause outweighed her own personal needs
  • Who move in the supernatural, walking in prophetic insight into kingdom matters.
  • Who are content to be silent labourers but whose labour changes the tide of evil in the church
  • Who cast off the complacency of presumption and embrace change.
  • Women like Mary of Nazareth, Mary of Bethany and those who went to the tomb…… Luke 1:38-39; Matthew 26:6-13, 28:8
  • Who arise and go quickly and promptly when the Lord instructs or urges them.
  • Women who pour out their lives on Jesus Christ; whose lives are a sweet fragrance of the new creation life.
  • Women who commit their future to the Lord damning the consequences.
  • Women who are not held back by tradition or religion, but arise taking responsibility.
  • Women who enter into the fellowship of the supernatural by submitting their natural life to the death of the cross, women who are broken.

Prayers:
  • Lord, visit the women of the church and raise women like Hannah for Yourself. Deliver women in the church from religion and endless empty religious activities.
  • Lord, raise a new breed of women in the church who refuse to just come ‘eating and drinking’, but who dare to change the status quo by arising.
  • Lord, by the vehicle of the cross-centered gospel, raise women who are dead to self and alive to Christ- true specimens of the new creation life.
  • Lord, fill the church with women who will cast off complacency and presumption; women who are delivered from the distractions of this world by the power of the cross.
  • Lord, raise true labourers among the womenfolk of the church; silent labourers whose labour will change the course of evil tide that is plaguing the church; women who will not give up until the church is all she is destined to be.

Matthew 9:36-38……

Women in church have been used, abused, deceived, violated, ridiculed and damaged because Satan hates women. Many women in the church are like sheep without a shepherd, tossed to and from by every wave of doctrine

Prayers:
  • Lord, send labourers to the women in the church and harvest their souls into Your barn.
  • Lord, we pray for women leaders in the church and the pastor’s wives – please encounter them with the cross of Christ. Let them be shining examples of godly women not given to filthy lucre, the love of money and all manner of evil. Let these ones begin to arise for You, Lord, arising in prayer, intercessions and travail for the church and leading others to do the same.

God's Purpose Concerning The Church

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am -1:30pm (UK time)

Text: 1 Samuel 16 & 17

Matthew 16:18- “And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Ephesians 3:10-11 – “to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ.”

Eph 3:10-11 (AMP) – “So now through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God [in all its countless aspects] might now be made known [revealing the mystery] to the [angelic] rulers and authorities in heavenly places. This is in accordance with the [the terms of] the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 5:25-27- “….. just as Christ loved the church and have Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IS A GLORIOUS CHURCH – ‘GLORY’ IS GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSE CONCERNING HER. NO MATTER WHAT WE SEE NOW, THE CHURCH WILL BE GLORIOUS. THE STORY OF THE CHURCH DOES NOT END WHERE IT IS TODAY.

Thanking the Lord for His eternal purpose for the church
  • Lord, we thank You for the church and for Your eternal purpose for her. There is great hope for the church because of Your eternal purpose. Thank You Lord for Your word which washes, sanctifies (John 17:17) and cleanses the church. We thank You Lord because the church will be holy and without blemish.
  • Thank You Jesus for You are building Your church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her. This is Your word concerning the church and we trust You to fulfil it. Thank You the present darkness will not overshadow Your church because she is Your body and You cannot be overshadowed by darkness.
  • Thank You Lord for Your church will be glorious. Thank You for Your glory shall be displayed by the church. Isaiah 60:1-2
  • Thank You Lord. As You have intended so shall it be concerning Your church.

God’s gifts to the church- Leaders after His own heart
  • Ephesians 4:11-12- Lord, we thank You for You have already given gifts to equip the saints and to edify the church.  1 Sam 16:1 – Lord, let the leaders You have prepared and provided for Yourself begin to emerge from obscurity now.
  • Lord, make room now for those leaders- in -waiting to come to limelight. Let Your ‘Davids’ who are in training begin to arise to take their place in the church – men of valour, men of war and kingdom minded men. 1 Sam 16:18; 17:45-47
  • Lord, deliver the church from leaders from whom Your Spirit has departed, leaders whom You have rejected but they still want to occupy their positions. Deliver the church from leaders like Saul, who can no longer stand up for the cause of the kingdom; leaders who flee and retreat in the time of war. 1 Sam 17:11, 24. Deliver the church from leaders who have taken the accursed things, leaders who are the reason for the church’s retreat and defeat.
  • Lord, give the church apostles who are not afraid to stand up and defend the purity of the gospel of Christ; those who will defend it with their lives if need be; authentic apostles who will not bow or succumb to mammon. Give us apostles who will spearhead the preaching of the cross-centered gospel in the nations and who will challenge compromising apostles without fear of man.
  • Dear Lord, give us prophets who will declare Your word boldly, speaking out against evil in the church and in the nations; prophets who will not speak lies but declare the truth fearlessly. Prophets who will challenge lawlessness and wickedness at a national/government level.
  • Lord, send us prophets who will command the fear of the Lord by speaking on Your behalf to national leaders.
Leaders from among the youth- 1 Sam 16:11; 17:14, 33; 42, 55-58; 1 Timothy 4:12; Jeremiah 1:7-8
  • Lord, thank You for our youth and for what You are doing among them. Thank You for Trip to Calvary, Decoding the Word and all the youth platforms. Lord, raise up valiant leaders from among these ones. Encounter these young lives in Your mercy Lord.
  • Lord, raise an army of youth in the church who be radical propagators of the mystery of the gospel of Christ, youth whose lives are samples of the Christ life; youth who you have prepared in the secret place like David; youth who will cause the church to arise and take the battle to the gate of the enemy. 1 Sam 17:52
  • Lord, raise up youth in the church who will not follow rejected leaders into battle even when others are doing so; those who will wait for their God-ordained timing to come forward.

The Church

Join This HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am -1:30pm (UK time)

Matthew 3:7-10 (NIV)
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. 9 And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 10 The axe is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 3:7-10 (AMPC)
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee and escape from the wrath and indignation [of God against disobedience] that is coming?
Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart]; 9 And do not presume to say to yourselves, We have Abraham for our forefather; for I tell you, God is able to raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones!10 And already the ax is lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Deliver the church from her presumptions (Matthew 25:1-13, Matthew 3:9, Obadiah 1:3)
  • Lord, forgive the church for the sin of presumption concerning Your warnings. You are speaking loud and clear, cause the church to take heed and arise quickly.
  • Open the eyes of Your people, Lord, to the situation around so that the church can shake off every presumptuous attitude. Anoint our eyes with eye salve so that the true state of things is clear and not vague or misunderstood. Let the gravity of Your will dawn afresh on Your church.
  • Lord, deliver the church from empty claims- claims that are not resulting in changed lives. (Gal 6:15; Revelations 3:17-18)
  • Lord, expose Esau in the church so that we will stop sowing to Esau expecting to produce Israel. Deliver the church from this presumption.
Deliver the church from complacency (Matthew 3:10; Isaiah 32:9-11; Isaiah 52:1-2)
  • Holy Spirit, breathe new life into the church and deliver us from complacency. Baptise us with Your fire and set hearts aflame, hearts that will burn and shine for Your kingdom’s cause in these evil last days.
  • Let there be a season of true repentance in the church; a repentance that will produce a complete change of direction for the church. Help the church to return to Christ and His Gospel of The Cross.
  • “The axe is laid to the root…”- the handwriting is on the wall! Lord, cause the church to wake up to urgency and seriousness of the times we are in now.
  • Arise and set the church in motion, o Lord! Revive Your zeal in Your church, Lord.
  • Arise, O Zion, put on your strength (Isaiah 52:1-2). Shake off the dust of your complacency and arise, shine, for your light is come (Isaiah 60:1).
Lord bring the change needed to the church… (1 Sam 16:13-14)
  • Lord, for Zion’s sake, bring the change in leadership in the church where it is needed. Let the ‘Sauls’ give way to Your ‘Davids’ so that Zion can be established.
  • Lord, appoint Your apostles and prophets in the church who will defend the purity of the gospel of Christ. Revive Your church again!
  • Holy Spirit, resign the old prophets and those self-appointed apostles who are polluting the church. Don’t allow Your people to follow leaders whom You have rejected. Revive Your church again!
  • Spirit of Christ, change the direction of the church in our day. Give us new hearts, more love, more passion for souls. Let the preaching of the cross centred gospel become the sole occupation of the church again. Lord, make the church the custodian of the Cross-Centred gospel once again. Revive Your church again!
  • Cause the church to arise with tears and groans and fasting and cause a spirit of prayer and intercession to lay hold of us. Let there be widespread travail for souls and warfare for the kingdom like never before until the Lord returns.

REVIVE YOUR CHURCH O LORD!

    Revive Thy Work O Lord

1.      Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
Speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
And make Thy people hear.

2.      Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Disturb this sleep of death;
Quicken the smold’ring embers now
By Thine almighty breath.

3.      Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Create soul-thirst for Thee;
And hungering for the bread of life
 O may our spirits be.

4.      Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Exalt Thy precious name;
And, by the Holy Ghost, our love
For Thee and Thine inflame.

5.      Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Give Pentecostal showers;
The glory shall be all Thine own,
The blessing, Lord, be ours.

Ephesians 2:1-10 and John 17

Ephesians 2: 1 - 10 (KJV)
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:1 – 10 (MSG) - He Tore Down the Wall

1-6  It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he
embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

7-10  Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.

The Church - The Authority of the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ

Join This HeartCry Prayer: Every Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

Acts 20:28-32 (KJV)
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

In order to establish God's mandate for the Church, pastors together with other church leaders are to ensure that The Body of Christ is built upon and through the Authority of The Holy Spirit. When The Holy Spirit is given the unlimited expression within the Church, He becomes:

1.      The Defender of our Faith
The Holy Spirit as the guarantee of our inheritance of eternal life defends our faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:13-14). If allowed, He creates the awareness of this defence and help us to walk in it.

Prayer:
·         Lord please renew the vision of the Church of the truth lost about the Holy Spirit.
·         Open the eyes of the Church to the force of defence attached to the power of The Holy Spirit.
·         Lord, cause a return to the loyalty of The Holy Spirit in all aspects of The Church.

2.      The Inspiration of Our Gathering
The Holy brings about divine guidance, inspires all church services and fellowships. There will be a deliberate surrender to the authority of the Spirit in all areas. (1st Corinthians 12:4)

Prayer:
·         Lord let the Church have a fresh encounter with the sanctifying work of The Holy Spirit.   (1st Peter 1:2a)
·         Deliver church leaders from their materialistic focus and intention, sweep out every of their unprofitable work that is hindering the move of The Holy Spirit.
·         Let all authorities in the Church begin to submit and surrender to both the government and the inspiration of The Holy Spirit for church services.

3.      The Bond of Unity Among Brethren
Since we have all been baptised into “One Body” by the Holy Spirit, there will be no need to struggle to achieve our “one mission” through the “same vision” of the Gospel. Nothing will be able to break the tie that binds The Body together in Christ.

Prayer:
·         Lord re-envision the Church about the unity that is in the communion of The Holy Spirit.
·         Let every individual in the Church begin to encounter the beauty and the glory of The Cross afresh.
·         Grant the Church the revelation of the tie that binds the Trinity, as it affects the Body of Christ.

Romans 14:7-9 (KJV)
“For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”

Prayer:
·         Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit that has achieved both the death and the life of Jesus in us.
·         Lord please dethrone every will of man that is a barrier to the way of The Spirit in the Church.
·         REVEAL AND ACTIVATE THE ORIGINAL WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT WILL MAKE THE CHURCH GLORIOUS IN THIS GENERATION.
