The Sick and Infirm

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday - Wednesday and Friday11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

1 Corinthians 11: 23-32. “Anyone who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Master irreverently is like part of the crowd that jeered and spit on him at his death. Is that the kind of “remembrance” you want to be part of? Examine your motives, test your heart, come to this meal in holy awe. If you give no thought (or worse, don’t care) about the broken body of the Master when you eat and drink, you’re running the risk of serious consequences. That’s why so many of you even now are listless and sick, and others have gone to an early grave. If we get this straight now, we won’t have to be straightened out later on. Better to be confronted by the Master now than to face a fiery confrontation later.” (MSG)

James 5; 14-15. “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

Repentance: For not discerning the Lord and His suffering and death.
Faith: To pray for sick brethren for miraculous healing.

  • Lord, we come in repentance for all your people who are afflicted with one form of sickness or the other, especially in their bodies or minds. Whichever way the enemy gained an upper hand due to carelessness or their weak connection with You, please Lord forgive and have mercy. Restore their hearts to You. Take away condemnation of the enemy and replace it with genuine repentance, confession and forsaking of sins to obtain mercy and receive strength in the inner and outer man. LORD HAVE MERCY.
  • Lord we come by faith to pray and receive healing for Your afflicted people. According to Your promise of James 5:15. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” Please save and heal them from all their afflictions and oppression. Forgive their sins and cleanse them spirit, soul, and body. Give them a vengeful heart against the wicked one (devil) that took advantage in the time of their weakness. Amen.

Philippians 2:25-30. “Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.”
  • Lord, have mercy on Your servants who are sick because of the much labour on their hands. Like You mercifully healed Epaphroditus, please heal them so they can carry on in selfless labour towards You and Your saints. Amen.
  • Lord, we also pray for our loved ones who have not yet received the Gospel and are ill in their bodies. For Your mercy's sake, please touch their bodies and preserve their lives from death so they can receive the Gospel to save their souls.
  • We pray for our loved ones that are on their death bed. Please Lord, reveal Yourself to them in this weak period of their lives. Prevail over the enemy and touch their hearts unto salvation so they can be with You in heaven when they pass on. Amen.
  • Mention the names of the sick around you and plead for them in whichever category they may fall in their sickness. Let the mercy of God prevail and let them receive a miracle of healing; spirit, soul, and body. Pray for them by faith to receive from the Lord who went about doing good. Amen.

Thank YOU Lord JESUS, Our Great Physician. We give You praise for all You do to help Your people and to restore us back to health when we are sick. May we always love and serve You while we are in this body, and may we live with You forever in heaven when we leave this mortal body. THANK YOU LORD!

Matthew 4:24. “And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them."

Luke 19 v 12-25 (KJV)
"He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:  For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me."

  •  Father, please prepare this nation for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Father we ask for the cyber world, as most of them are glued to it, since You said you will give us the ends of the earth as our empire, we lay claim to the cyber world today as a means of channelling Your gospel.

Genesis 1 v 9-13
The Third Day: Dry Ground
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.”

Day 3 was the day of divine fruitfulness and multiplication.
What kind of fruits/seeds must our nation bear?
Fruit of repentance
Fruit of righteousness
Fruit of the Spirit

  • Father, make our youth and children a day 3 nation, O Lord.
  • Lord, please let them come to the knowledge of Christ through the complete gospel as they go out through different means particularly the prayer bulletins on the internet.
  • Father, we plead with You for our nations, O Lord, that they will receive the complete gospel and begin to repent and turn to You.
  • As they turn to you in their hundreds of thousands, Father, please let them begin to bear fruits of righteousness.
  •  Endow them, Master Jesus, with Your heart and mind that they will seek to obey the Father.
  • Father, please remove the seed of rebellion from the hearts of our nation.
  • Father, let their day of multiplication and fruitfulness commence now.
  • Let our nations become carriers and givers of Jesus (seed bearing and fruit bearing trees).

Prisoners

God seeks to set prisoners free, not only from their physical prison, but certainly from their imprisonment by sin, ignorance, rebellion and foolish choices. Jesus identified Himself as the source of this freedom.

The Causes of Crime:
  • Genesis 3 - The fall of man (The replacement of the life of God with the sin nature).
  • Jeremiah 17:9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
  • John 10:10 – “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

PRAYER FOR PRISONERS

Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”

Father we thank you for the provision of salvation through the cross - the death of Jesus on the cross and the provision of His shed blood.
Father, we pray Your love and mercy for those who are in prison, that Your love might reach them through whatever means You choose to use.  We can’t imagine the dark, sorrowful, desperate paths that they have led up to this period of their lives, yet we know that even darkness is not dark to You (Psalm 139:12).
Lord, You are able to save to the uttermost. Deliver them from this uttermost pit and bring them to sit with the righteous.

Father, we know that deep healing needs to take place in their lives for the scars they bear from:
A life that wasn’t kind or fair;
A mental disease that wasn’t manageable or treated properly;
A temper that never knew the bounds of discipline;
An addiction that never let go before it consumed them;
A group of friends who were willing companions on the path to destruction. (Proverbs1:10-19);
A loved one who was abusive and violent and filled with hatred;
A life situation that led to desperation to acquire wealth;
A heart so callous that it could no longer see others with respect;
And the innocent who was in the wrong place at the wrong time;
All these are the products of the flesh.
When we look at the history of people in prison, we sometimes feel overwhelmed by their challenges and the barriers to their inner freedom. Yet, You are the one who says, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” (John 8:32.)
So, we boldly pray that Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life will be given access to their imprisoned heart, soul and mind. (John 14:6).
Lord, we pray for the prisoners that Your word will gain entrance into their lives. We commit to You, the vessels You use to minister to them that they will preach the complete gospel that is able to set them free.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Father, open the eyes of their understanding that they may know the truth that will set them free from the sin nature (rebellious nature).

Isaiah 42:3
“A bent reed he will not break off.”

O Lord, You did not come to condemn those who already feel rightly condemned, but rather you came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.  (John 3:17, John 10). You are our loving Saviour, who on the cross and in mortal pain yourself, said to the dying thief being executed justly for his many sins, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43).
All the thief had to do was to look with pained eyes toward you, the suffering saviour, and ask with faith that defied the utterly impossible circumstances: “Jesus, remember me when you come into Your kingdom.”  (Luke 23:42).
Lord, we pray for the prisoners, that the mercy that found this thief will locate them as well.

 Psalm 107:10-16
“Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains for they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High.  So he subjected them to bitter labour; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.  Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.  Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for me, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.”

These prisoners are literally behind bars of iron, but they are also behind bars of inner bondage to the things that have brought them to commit crimes against others.  We pray concerning the forces of evil that seek to continue to hold and eventually destroy them be destroyed:

Lord, release them from the prison of Satan and make them the prisoners of Christ. (Ephesians 3:1). We break the stronghold of darkness over their lives in the name of Jesus.

Romans 14:12 - (NLT) - Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (KJV) - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Genesis 18:19 (ESV) - For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

ELI the priest, as a parent to look at: 1 Sam. 2: 12-17; 22-25; 27.
  • Honoured his sons more than GOD, thereby despising GOD – Chapter 2:29.
  • Given the death sentence of his sons and nothing was done? – v 34.
  • Threw the words of GOD’s reproof back to His face – Chapter 3:15-18.
  • Brought doom to his household, which extended to his grandchild who became motherless – Chapter 4:10-18.
PRAYERS: Use yourself as a point of contact to all Christian parents out there:
  • Thank You Jesus for all that You accomplished and completed on the Cross at Calvary which brought us into reconciliation with our Heavenly Father, thereby giving us the grace to come and present ourselves and others – as parents – before You, in order for Your divine will to be accomplished.
  • Let all Christian parents be in right standing with GOD, so that they will retain GOD in their knowledge and be able to do that which is pleasing unto Him. – Rm 1:28
  • Let my acts/deeds as a parent not bring reproach to the name of the LORD. – Num 15:30
  • Help me to obey your instructions Holy Spirit, so that the anger of the LORD is not kindled upon/against me in the responsibility or duty that He has committed unto my hands.
  • Let the Cross cross-out every deafness in me to Your statues, so that the works of the flesh that needs to be decluttered, be decluttered so that I do not derail my children into perdition.
  • In Your chastisement concerning my parental disobedience to Your statues, let Your mercy prevail so that I am repenting of my deeds and not blaspheming.
  • “And she named the child Ichabod….” With my uncared-attitude, let me not destroy the glory of the latter days of my children and generations to come.
  • O LORD, show me Your vision and Your purpose for my children’s life so that I am not truncating Your divine will for them. In the revelation of Your purpose for their life to me as a parent, help me to accept it, to continue in it and not to tamper with Your plan for their life.
  • O LORD, let my heart be opened unto You to receive that which You are giving or have given to me concerning the children You are committing into my hands.
  • Ps 78:5-7 – Help me, Holy Spirit, to pass Your commandments/deeds/truths about GOD unto my children, so that they in turn could pass it on to theirs, in obedience to Your instructions.
  • Mk 10:14 - LORD Jesus, give unto us the mind and the heart You had for children. Help us to love them and spend time with them as You did.
  • Are you familiar with this phrase when disobedience comes in – “The devil made me do it?” Help me Jesus, as a parent to create an awareness of the tactics of the devil in my children, and for them to learn and to know how to use the armour of GOD. Help me as a parent to imbibe in my children that the power of Jesus who lives in them, is incomparably greater – 1 Jn 4:4.
  • Jn 15:1 - LORD Jesus, You are the true Vine. As a parent, let me daily find nourishment inside of You and be able to influence my children with this, so that they may abide in You and bear good fruits.
  • Holy Spirit, teach us as parent to live every single day by the guidance of the Word of GOD, and let the light of Your Word propel us in bringing up our children in the way to go and to follow.
  • LORD Jesus, since You are the Way, the Truth and the Life that is inside of me, direct me to teach and bring up my children according to the discipline and the instruction of GOD, so that the life of Christ is formed in them and so that they may imitate You – Eph 6:4.
  • Josh 1:8 – Holy Spirit, help me as a parent to encourage and equip my children to build stronger relationship with the LORD by our daily fellowship [family fellowship, bible study, personal quiet time], as this will help them to encounter GOD on their own through the reading, meditating and application of the Word of GOD into their lives.
  • LORD Jesus, You prayed “They are in this world but they are not of the world” – Jn 17. Holy Spirit, help me to daily bring them to the feet of the Cross, so that the exposition and the cares of the world does not prevail and overcome them.
  • The rod and reproof gives wisdom – Prov 29:15. Help me as a parent to apply the rod at the right time and reproof at the right time.
  • Prov 14:12 says “There’s a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is destruction” – O LORD, help me to succumb only to the will that You have for my children, and not my will or the will of others in the name of Jesus.

Ezekiel 33:10-11

Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?”’ 11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’ (NKJV)

The Lord spoke to me. “Mortal man,”he said, “repeat to the Israelites what they are saying: ‘We are burdened with our sins and the wrongs we have done. We are wasting away. How can we live?’ 11 Tell them that as surely as I, the Sovereign Lord, am the living God, I do not enjoy seeing sinners die. I would rather see them stop sinning and live. Israel, stop the evil you are doing. Why do you want to die? (GNT)

  • What men outside of Christ consider ‘high life’ or ‘the life’, heaven has concluded that it is only ephemeral, artificial and vain.
  • Sin makes people outside of Christ to pine away and waste away whether they know this or not.
  • There is a burden on every man outside of Christ that makes them waste away. Jesus is the only burden destroyer.
  • They are unable to experience true rest until they see the Jesus on Calvary's cross destroying the 'man of sin' on their behalf.
  • Our contacts will, at some point, ask the question -‘How can we then live?’ and may take drastic decisions to terminate their life if they do not know that Jesus is the Way and that Jesus is the only One able to help them answer the question and also navigate their lives into a glorious purpose.
  • God has no delight, joy, pleasure or satisfaction in seeing sinners die.
  • His desire is to see men rid of the 'man of sin' and the sinful habits he produces in men.
  • Christ wants all men to live.
Prayer
  • Lord, help our lives such that the touchable, tangible, loving and victorious Jesus is readily seen in us.
  • Lay on us a genuine, irreversible and perpetual burden for the souls of men.
  • Help us to be effectual in communicating of our faith. Philemon 1:6.
  • Holy Spirit, please convict our contacts of sin; judgement and righteousness. John 16:8.
  • Let our contacts collide with Jesus- the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:6.
  • Help our contacts SEE and BELIEVE God’s verdict about them- sin is a burden that makes men waste and pine away.
  • Pray that the message of the cross will start to flood our pulpits, schools, and airwaves.
  • Please preserve our contacts from death until they step into their rest (Christ).
  • Let the question ‘How can we live’ bring our contacts to seek out CHRIST.
  • Lord, do not let any of our contacts walk into error or fall into the hands of the enemies of Christ in their quest to find TRUTH.
  • As they come inside Christ, Lord, please raise labourers that will accommodate the growing harvest.

The Church: Bishops, Ministers' Wives, Missionaries, Ministry Teams and Church Members

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Friday 11:30am - 3:30pm (UK time)

Ephesians 4:11-12 (AMP):

11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. 12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church).

BISHOPS: Acts 20:28 - Amplified Bible (AMP) refers to them as Bishops while King James Version (KJV) and New King James Version (NKJV) refers to them as Overseers; so they have the same role with Overseers - 1Tim 3:1-2 (NAS); Tit 1:7-9 (NAS); Acts 20:28-31 (NAS).

MINISTERS’ WIVES: These are the wives of Ministers of GOD (men that He has appointed). They are to be ambassadors for Christ – since they are “in Christ” (2Cor 5:17-20a). Their role is unique in that they have a significant and challenging God-given opportunity to have influence Christ in church, as well as surrounding community. It is a role with a special grace and wisdom from GOD – 1Tim 3:8-11 (KJV). Examples of such God-fearing women, to mention few, are:
  • Elizabeth, wife of Zacharias, (mentor to Mary) – Lk 1:5-6, 24-25, 36-37, 39-40, 56.
  • Priscilla, wife of Aquila – Acts 18:2-3, 24-26 (TLB); 1Cor 16:19; Rm 16:3-4.
Others are: Anna - Lk 2:36-37; Esther - Est 4:12-17; Abigail wife of Nabal - 1Sam 25; Apphia, wife of Archippus - Phm 2.

MISSIONARIES: Like Evangelists, they are very important parts of the Body of Christ. This is because being on mission is an act of obedience to the great commission of Jesus in calling on all believers to share the message of salvation with all people and all nations – Mt 28:19; Mk 16:15; Lk 24:47; Acts 1:8.

MINISTRY TEAMS: Rm 12:3-8 – Here, Bro. Paul was admonishing that bodies cannot function well except they work together. “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members of one of another” – v5. Remember Neh 4? A team is to encourage and work in support of each other in accordance with purpose of Christ for the church.

CHURCH MEMBERS: They are:
(a) The Body of Christ – Eph 4:12.
(b) GOD’s people of which He is the Head – Col 1:16-18.
(c) GOD’s flock purchased by His blood –Acts 20:28.
(d) Subjected to Christ – of which He wants her to be glorious without no spot or  wrinkle, holy and without blemish – Eph 5:27.

PRAYERS – in accordance with the Word of God:
  • Let every carnal-minded man (Bishop, Ministers’ Wives, Missionaries, Ministry Teams), which is enmity against GOD, collide with the Rock of Ages; for a carnal-minded man cannot please GOD – Rm 8:6-8.  Let the Spirit of GOD breathe the breath of life and peace in Christ Jesus over the church and set men free.
  • Let the veil of ignorance from the pit of hell covering the face of these men/women of GOD be blown away by the whirlwind of GOD. Open their eyes, Holy Spirit, to see Jesus who died on the cross, and to behold their wretchedness in the name of Jesus.
  • As many that are still on the altar preaching falsehood in the name of the gospel and in the name of our GOD, cause O Lord, a divine shaking, so that men and women will come to say, “Truly, Jesus is the Son of GOD and the Head of His church” - Mt 27:50-54.
  • The boldness and chance to preach the Good News of Christ freely, fully and plainly as stated in Col 4:3-4, give unto Your chosen men/women, who You have made to be shepherd over your sheep.
  • Eph 2:10 says, “We are GOD’S masterpiece because He has created us anew in Christ Jesus.” Pray that the beautiful life and light which Jesus (the Life and Light Himself) planned for His flock/people/church will be established and the church will come into it.
  • According to Rm 12:6-8 (NIV), “We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us.” Pray that these men/women of GOD will have an in-depth understanding of the grace of GOD. Pray that they will see the opportunity that GOD has given them concerning His flock, in order to bring honour to the LORD; that:
    • In prophesying, they will prophesy in-line with the faith in Christ Jesus;
    • In serving, they will serve with a humble heart;
    • In teaching, they will teach the truth relying on the Truth Himself;
    •  In encouraging, they will give encouragement as in tune with the precept of GOD;
    • In giving, they will give generously;
    •  In leading, they will lead diligently;
    •  In showing mercy, they will do it cheerfully.
  • Col 1:27-28 – GOD, give all these men/women the wisdom to preach and teach Jesus, so that they may know that they have to present the flock/sheep perfect unto Christ – since it is Christ in them, that is the hope of glory.
  • LORD Jesus, come for Your church, revive Your Church – Your church that You loved and gave Yourself for. Come and sanctify and cleanse Your Church once again.

Eph 4:11-12 (AMP)
11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. 12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church).

Why did GOD Himself appoint and give us these men? What are His mighty reasons/purposes?

Eph 4:12-13 (TLB)
12 Why is it that he gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God’s people will be equipped to do better work for him, building up the Church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity; 13 until finally we all believe alike about our salvation and about our Savior, God’s Son, and all become full-grown in the Lord—yes, to the point of being filled full with Christ.

What does GOD says about the Church? What has Jesus done for the church? Who is Christ to the church?

Acts 20:28 (TLB)
28 “And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his blood—for the Holy Spirit is holding you responsible as overseers.
Col 1:16-18 (TLB)
16 Christ himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can’t; the spirit world with its kings and kingdoms, its rulers and authorities; all were made by Christ for his own use and glory. 17 He was before all else began and it is his power that holds everything together. 18 He is the Head of the body made up of his people—that is, his Church—which he began; and he is the Leader of all those who arise from the dead, so that he is first in everything.
Eph 5:24-27 (KJV)
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

What then are the biblical roles of these men with special abilities that He has given to His flock (His people) – His Church?

PASTORS – Jer 3:15 (KJV); 2Tim 4:2 (KJV):  (a) shepherds after Christ heart who are to lead/guide/feed/water/tend the people of GOD with knowledge and understanding; (b) to patiently preach the Word of GOD, to correct and to rebuke when needed, to encourage them to do right.
EVANGELISTS – Acts 8:25 (KJV); Acts 14:5-7 (KJV); 1Cor 1:17(KJV):  they are to carry the gospel on and about Jesus to places where it was previously unknown.
DEACONS – 1Tim 3:13 (KJV): they are to encourage the people of GOD to develop their confidence and bold trust in the LORD.
OVERSEERS – 1Tim 3:1-2 (NAS); Tit 1:7-9 (NAS); Acts 20:28-31 (NAS): (a) to be on guard for themselves and for all the flock which the Holy Spirit has made them overseers, in order to shepherd the flock which Jesus purchased with His own blood; (b) to hold fast the faithful Word which is in accordance with the teaching; (c) able to exhort in sound doctrine and to rebuke those who contradicts the Word of GOD.

PRAYERS:

O LORD our GOD, we cry unto You for mercy. O for Your abundant mercies upon these various leaders whom You appointed Yourself over Your flock (Eph 4:11). We plead for Your mercy because Your divine purpose for which You chose these Priests/Pastors/Teachers/Evangelists/Deacons/General Overseers, and the mandate You gave, has been truncated upon – has been bastardised – has been trampled. LORD JESUS, Your church has been defiled; Your purpose has been amputated by the flesh and the works of darkness. We have forgotten the purpose for which You created the church, which was for Your flock to become full grown in the LORD to the point of being fully filled with Christ (Eph 4:13). But Our GOD, it has not been so with these ones You have appointed. We have forgotten why You came and was crucified on the Cross. Your people are being fed with abominable spiritual meat and being poisoned with false and incomplete gospel. Arise in Your compassion for Your purchased church and come to the rescue. Please LORD JESUS, have mercy and forgive these guilty Priest/Pastors/Teachers/Evangelists/Deacons/General Overseers, as they have forgotten the covenant You had with them, and the fear of the LORD is long gone (Ps 25:14 KJV). Please visit them once again (as You did with Peter and the other six in (John 21:1-2), as You do not delight in the death of sinners but for them to come to repentance. Draw them closer to the Cross, bring them again to Calvary once again if You have to. Mercy! Mercy!! Mercy!!!
  • 1 Cor 11:1 (AMP) – Pray that all these appointed messengers of GOD will imitate and follow Christ Jesus. That their focus will be on Jesus; their message will be Jesus, their whole being will be of Jesus, the vision will be Jesus, no more – no less. So that in their preaching Him, the flock will be brought into maturity, only in Christ.
  • That they will see themselves as servants/slaves unto the LORD and not become self-absorbed with their own doctrine, but follow the doctrine of Jesus – the true complete gospel.
  • Holy Spirit, give unto them the heart of Christ who is the Great Shepherd who has the heart of love/compassion for the flock.
  • They are meant to feed the sheep. Pray that henceforth the reverse shall not be the case.
  • According to Eph 4:12 (AMP) {paraphrased}, GOD’s intention for the church was to be fortified to be of use for Him, to strengthen and help her to grow to the stage where He desire the body of Christ to be. Let’s pray that His divine will be done concerning the church. By the washing of the Water and the Word, cleanse Your church of every wrinkle, every spot and every blemish. Make her holy as You GOD are holy.
  • Isaiah said “In the year that King Uzzah died, I saw the LORD …..” – Isa 6:1.  So LORD Jesus, let every King Uzzah in every form or fashion of the world system, who has enthroned himself over Your church, be dethroned, so that Your church can fulfill the manifestation of Your glory once again.
  • Please LORD JESUS, bring all these Priests/Pastors/Evangelists/Deacon/General Overseers into the work of discipleship, so that Your command of ‘Go and make disciples in all the nations… and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given…’ will be established as You purpose it to be in Jesus name.

THANK YOU OUR REDEEMER FOR YOU WILL DELIVER AND REVIVE YOUR CHURCH – YOUR FLOCK – YOUR PEOPLE, ONCE AGAIN.
