Children, Teenagers and Young People
- Stephen

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11.30am -1.30pm (UK time)

“Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” (Acts 6:3)

“...Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 6:5)

“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.” (Acts 6:8)

“And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.” (Acts 6:10)

“And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.”(Acts 6: 15)

“But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:55-56)

“And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” (Acts 7: 59-60)

The Dimension of the Holy Ghost

“But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;(Joel 2:28-29)

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”  (Acts 2:16-18)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

Empty Versus Full

“Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full” (2 Kings 4:3)

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)

The Holy Ghost will only fill empty vessels.

Men who are full, content, occupied, satisfied with their state will not cry out for the Lord or for the Holy Ghost.

Such men don’t see the need, or the reason why they should be crying and begging God to be filled.

If you present the Holy Ghost to them, they will shrug Him off because they do not realise they are in need of Him.

Even if we pray for them now and continue to cry as long as they are completely full of self, full of the world’s expectation of them, full of their own aspirations and ambitions outside of God, there will be no space for the Lord to pour into.

Prayer Points

Empty our young men and our young women of everything that has filled them up instead of You.

Open the tap of their lives and empty them of all ambitions, aspirations, plans, desires that are not in line with God’s purpose for their lives.

Our young adults, teenagers, children are completely filled and satisfied with what the world has to offer. Lord, make them begin to have a distaste for what the world and its systems offers them.

Change their taste, O Lord! We plead with You in the name of Jesus; let them begin to hate, reject, discard, turn their backs on everything and anything that has occupied the space that God ought to occupy in their hearts, minds and imaginations.

Create a hunger and a thirst for You, Your purpose and Your kingdom, instead wanting to build my own kingdom; let their desire be "Thy Kingdom come, O Lord in me, by me and through me."

Baptise our young men, our young women, our teenagers, our children with the Holy Ghost and with power.

Father, pour Your Holy Spirit upon them in bodily form in a way they have never experienced before.

Lord, You promised in Joel and it happened in Acts; we are standing upon Your promises. Please baptise them with fire from on high.

We are actually waiting for You. Your promise was for every member of the family, young, old, male or female. Lord, we present our children before you this day. Please dear Lord, do not withhold from us. Pour upon Your heritage; fill them up to overflowing with the Holy Ghost and power.

Holy Spirit, we welcome You afresh on behalf of our young ones; O Lord, please hear us we pray in the name of Jesus.
